Over the past decade, Hamster Cleaning has grown into a company with offices in the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Bulgaria. This international presence is now further expanded with InsightAir, founded in 2015 and active in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.

“InsightAir also aims to improve indoor air quality, and its activities are a perfect complement to Hamster Cleaning’s core business,” says Thys, who, together with shareholder Luc Vandeweyer, is setting the company’s strategic direction.

InsightAir has developed its own platform, allowing sensor heads to be flexibly plugged in to respond efficiently to changing situations and needs. Both standard parameters (temperature, CO₂, PM2.5) and specialized parameters (ethylene oxide, ultrafine particles) can be measured.

“This specialization adds expertise to the Hamster package. The full acquisition enables close collaboration, allowing both parties to pursue their European ambitions further,” Thys explains. “Operationally, the merger provides an attractive complete solution for customers: for example, we cleaned all air ducts in several residential care centers and subsequently installed air quality monitors for continuous monitoring. This approach is one we aim to intensify.”
